What is the difference between your website prices and the market stall?
Nothing. We have priced all our products the same on the website as the market stall. The only additional price will be the delivery charge - if you have chosen courier delivery, and your order is under £80.
Can I order by telephone?
Yes. If you would prefer to place an order over the telephone, then please give us a call on: 015242 71397. As a family run business Jim, Wendy, Simon or Amanda will be happy to answer any queries you have, and take your order. If we are unable to take your call please leave a message with your name and phone number only and we will return your call as soon as possible.
What happens once I have placed my order?
Once you have placed your order we will contact you by email to confirm your order. As part of our personal service we do not send orders out without contacting you first to confirm a delivery or collection date, and any delivery instructions.
When we contact you to arrange delivery please provide us with instructions where we can securely leave the parcel if you are not going to be at home when the courier arrives, i.e. with a neighbour, in the garage or porch etc. Alternatively, by prior arrangement we can deliver to your work address if that is more convenient for you. It is also useful to provide the delivery driver with directions if you are in a more remote area. To assist our courier we do provide them with your contact number in case they need to contact you regarding delivery.
Due to the fresh nature of the products we cannot accept returns or refund purchases when our courier is unable to deliver in the event that no one is available to accept the order, and no alternative delivery instructions have been made by you. The parcel will be returned to the depot and you must arrange collection.
When will my order be delivered, or ready for collection?
We will contact you to arrange a delivery or collection date.
Collect from us at the market stall in Kirkby Lonsdale Market Square (every Thursday), Lancaster Market Square (every Wednesday and Saturday), Lancaster University (every Thursday in term time) or Nether Kellet (2nd Sunday in the month). Or collect from the Farm by appointment.
We can arrange delivery by courier to take place Tuesday to Friday. Our standard delivery does not enable us to give you a time for delivery, but if your order has not arrived by 4pm please contact us by telephone and we will track your order. If you need a timed delivery this can be arranged, but at extra cost (however much the order comes to). Please contact us and we can make enquiries as to the cost involved.
There are 3 delivery/collection options for you to choose when you check out:
- Collect from us at the market stall in Kirkby Lonsdale Market Square (every Thursday 8.am to 2pm), Lancaster Market Square (every Wednesday and Saturday 8am to 3.30pm), Lancaster University (every Thursday in term time 10am to 4pm) or Nether Kellet (2nd Sunday in the month 11am to 2pm). To use this facility we must receive your order no later than 01.00 am the day before the chosen collection day. There is no charge for this option. Please bring your cool bag.
- Collection from the farm itself. We will contact you arrange a mutually convenient date and time. There is no charge for this option.
- We deliver nationwide throughout mainland UK. If you spend over £80 there is no charge for delivery. Below £80 the charge is £10.36 incl vat, this amount is what we are charged for your delivery and nothing else.
How is my order packed?
We keep our food fresh by vacuum packing, the natural way to keep food fresher for longer. There are however products that can’t be packed in this way such as sausages and meatballs – these are packed onto polystyrene trays and cling-filmed.
If your order is being packed for courier delivery we take care and pride in packing your order into a polystyrene box/es and packed with ice blankets, and bubble wrap if required to ensure your order reaches you in peak condition. Please re-use the polystyrene box and ice blankets.
All the meat is clearly labelled for your convenience and it can be kept in the fridge to be eaten by its 'use by' date or frozen immediately and kept as per the guidelines of your freezer.
If you are collecting your order please remember your cool bag, or if you require a polystyrene box and ice let us know and we will arrange this for a charge. For your next order, please re-use your poly box and ice and we will give you a free gift!
