Highland, Galloway and Aberdeen Angus Beef
Our naturally reared, grass-fed Highland, Galloway and Aberdeen beef is simply delicious. A combination of the attributes of the breeds; their being fed on only our own grass which is free of artificial fertilisers, pesticides and herbicides; over 50 years of farming experience; and 20 years experience of handling meat come together to bring you fantastic beef that we as a family are truly proud of - full of flavour, tenderness, and the right texture.
All three breeds are sought after for their rich flavour, but because they are grass fed they are also known for their lower fat content (less cholesterol) and additional nutritional values such as omega 3 and omega 6. All these breeds are slow maturing and smaller than modern beef cattle, the Galloway and Highlanders arenít ready until they are over 30 months, and Aberdeen Angus 24 months instead of the usual 12 to 18 months so are not favoured by intensive farmers. The meat tends to be darker and is beautifully marbled providing flavour and succulence.
